Here on our farm in the Lake District we have a flock of pure Herdwick sheep from which we make our tweed.
The farm sits on a mixture of land from high fell to lowland meadows which means that our sheep have a more gentle life than their mountain bred forebears.
My business was born from a desire to support the cultural tradition of hill farming Herdwick sheep in the Lake District which my family has done for hundreds of years.
I wanted to build a business turning their fleece into a properly sustainable product, practical and beautiful for the modern market in both an urban and rural setting.
